How do I know if I am eligible for New Zealand immigration?
Are you ready to make the leap and start immigrating to New Zealand? It may surprise you to know that right now, New Zealand is welcoming healthcare workers, construction workers, veterinarians, and agricultural mobile plant operators amongst others. People with job offers of over $106,000 where there is a recognized skill shortage and anybody with a job offer from a company that is working on specific government projects, events, and programs.
Qualifying for a resident visa under the Skilled Migrant policy, means you have met the following minimum requirements:
- You are under the age of 56
- You are of good character (police clearance, etc.)
- You are in good health
- You have good English language capabilities
- You have reached a minimum points score of 160
Navigating these waters is not easy and it is always best to do this with the help of a proven expert in the field.

I Scored 100 Points without an offer of skilled employment. Now What?
Remember that one hundred points is a minimum requirement to lodge an Expression of Interest or EOI. While you can, in theory, submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) on 100 points, you would need a score of at least 160 for your EOI to be selected.
Additionally, the categories for qualifications, work experience, and job offers are more complex than they seem at face value and often do not add up to the necessary points, and the requirements do change from time to time.
Again, we must stress that it is better to get a professional assessment and guidance on the process; this will be the biggest move you ever make.
