Do you want to immigrate to New Zealand? A fast-track to residence pathway is now available based on the Green List. There is a shortage of people in certain occupations in New Zealand, and the Green List attempts to address this shortage. The aim is to make it easier for employers to attract and hire migrants for specific high-skilled, hard-to-fill occupations. Here are some of the occupations eligible for the fast-track to residence pathway.
All occupations eligible for the fast-track to residence pathway have registration, qualification, or experience requirements. The qualification requirements are based on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) unless stated otherwise on the New Zealand Immigration website. The Green List includes the following occupations:
Engineering occupations have Washington and Sydney Accord engineering qualification requirements. The Washington Accord is an international agreement between bodies responsible for accrediting engineering degree programs, and the Sydney Accord does the same for engineering technology academic programs.
Health and social services
Primary industries and science
ICT, Electronic and telecommunications
